Good Jawa
raz is super genius. Link to comment
Zantos
Not to keep on them duel shaders, but the rest of it looks pretty cool, especially that announcement scrolling thing. Link to comment
Geek
Can't say I like the shaders for duelists. The ticker looks interesting, so it takes items like the MOTD and any AMPSAY and runs it through there? Also, will there be a bar for force energy? and maybe a different icon for saber styles? Either way, looks pretty awesome right now. Link to comment
Raz0r
The duel shader is customisable, as I said The HUD isn't done, that's just an example of what it will be like. The ticker, at the moment, is used for all announcements you'd usually see in the center of your screen (You know, when you really don't want something in the way T_T) I'm also thinking of new menus to add (Things like changing teamchat mode) Link to comment
Gen. Anakin Fett
Raz0r, that looks awesome! Any chance of adding the ability for the RGB sabers to have white cores or even custom color cores? That may sound miniscule, but it is the one thing that bothers me about JAPlus. Link to comment
Raz0r
I was thinking of having 'Hue sabers' instead of 'RGB sabers'. Basically, you'd only change the one value, instead of a combination of 3 values. Saturation and luminance (brightness) would be preserved so you don't get ugly colours or sabers with no glow. I'll also need to poke around how JA decides the core style to use..it's bound to be in the userinfo. Link to comment
Silver
Reverse chat?count me in! Keep up the good work. Link to comment
Just Another Guy
Looks good. Keep up the good work, you lifeless hacker. Link to comment
Raz0r
I'm currently implementing an auto-login system. You can define a list of servers with corresponding admin passwords, and upon connection, if you've defined a password for that server, it will log you in to admin automatically. This also prevents leaking the password to owners of other servers. Link to comment

That would come in handy, since it seems a lot of people (like me lol) take a few tries to get it to work right. Link to comment
Raz0r
I suppose I could add clanpass...Or perhaps just create a menu like JA+ has for teamchat with a button that logs you in. Hm. Link to comment
Gen. Anakin Fett
I beg you to keep the JA+ RGB Sabers, it's nice to make a black saber or cyan saber; it would just be nice to have the core back. I tried once (didn't know if it needed coding or not and screwed up JA+.) Link to comment
Raz0r
I could add separate black and white saber cores. Also maybe I will just keep RGB sabers. It'd be more compatible with other plugins. Link to comment
Gen. Anakin Fett
That's an idea I like! Especially the white, Idk just in my opinion like in ForceMod_III the RGB Sabers look better with cores? Is there any way to make the RGB colors look improved? Idk why but they just seem fake, it can't really be described but it's just not interesting...I'll try and describe it better to you later. Link to comment
Raz0r
I plan on reworking the saber blade code, remove the flickering and other choppy artefacts. Link to comment
Proxy
Can sabers have a tiny bit of trail at all times? Trail makes a realistic look during a swing when saber is in attack mode and damage box is activated, and obvious movement exists... but then if I jump around server or turn really fast with saber in idle mode in my hand, it looks bad, no trail. Get it? Link to comment
Raz0r
Of-course I've already done that in AM Link to comment
Raz0r
Well I've got a bit of an issue. In order to get /sabercolor and the scoreboard to work, I have to fake that it's actually Slider's plugin. IMO, as a developer, that's an arrogant move to disallow these things. I've patched the server-side so anyone can use /sabercolor and see the scoreboard properly, hopefully Link will use it on the server. (I can easily patch it for later releases too) Damnit Slider, gief source plox <_> That aside, I have the scoreboard working properly with the JA+ method (showing 'kills/deaths' rather than 'score') Link to comment
Raz0r
Okay, so I wanted to change up the chatbox a bit. Here's a draft: clicky here Made the font smaller, added time-stamps, raised maximum number of lines, the lines don't 'expire' (They stay) You can choose to have this chatbox or the old one by using a cvar. Also excuse the poor quality (JA uses lossy compression for screenshots - the text is actually easier to see than that) Any suggestions, comments, etc are always welcome. Link to comment
Silverfang
Raz: when I said "New font?" I meant that as a suggestion Link to comment
Geek
Now when you say that they stay, do you mean that once another line of text comes up, it could eventually fill the screen top to bottom? Or do you mean that it will move the oldest line out, and move em all up? Also, would it be possible to put in a switch on and off function? Similar to chat boxes found in MMORPG's like Guild Wars and WoW? Meaning, you can have it display 3 lines max normally, and then hit a key and it will display more, like a mini console? That would be cool. Either way, nice work so far, can't wait to see a finished product. Link to comment
Raz0r
It will work like the chatbox in JA, but the lines won't go away until they're replaced (8 lines maximum, rather than 5) I probably won't add in the 'show extra lines' option. If you really want you can just look at the console Link to comment
