Three times during this duel now, Athena had lag teleported down from full force high-jumps. I know the exact timing on these jumps, and Athena was coming down late, then just teleporting into me with attacks. I know there is a certain sort of FPS lag script that can do this intentionally, and I would like the log investigated to be assured she was not using this, and was indeed just lagging very badly! He immediately jumped out of chatbox and I was slept almost immediately, so whatever response was taking a minute to type must not have been that important...I can honestly say I think she was trying to sucker me into attacking just so I could be labeled a rulebreaker, since nothing I had done in the server up to this point was a violation of rules, it was simply making her and Ivanova upset because they were taking me seriously... I know I was egging it on a little, I get into playing up the fact I'm in a Sith clan. Some people seem to take it a bit too seriously though when I'm obviously just adding a little bit of theatrics to the game...it's how we used to roll back in the day in {O}rder of the Jedi and The Order {TO}. Apparently people don't know how to have fun with a little bit of impromtu RP anymore. And yes, I'm quite well aware that JAWA is not a RP clan, neither is TFC. That's the point. I don't like hardcore RP. I like to just take on a persona, play it up a bit, and have fun. That's what everyone used to do in this game 10 years ago. I thought people could still appreciate it...but maybe I was wrong. Regardless, there are several remarks I highlighted in the condump that I would like examined and answered. I truly hope that if I return to the server again (which I may not since I am very busy with my own most of the time) that people will respond a bit more maturely to a little Dun Möch "Sith tactic" as it was supposed to be fun. However, rather than playing along and being "good Jedi," retorting me with Lightside responses to my Darkside logic, I was instead badgered, harassed, and abused by your clan. I find it truly dissappointing that the leaders of JAWA are not as mature of administrators as I expected from an 8 year clan... Link to comment

Link made the point well already, I think. If you were roleplaying a sith, then I was roleplaying a jedi opposing your attempts to harass us in our server. If you were not roleplaying, then I was simply adminning someone being an intentional troll. Either way, your argument is moot. You harassed and insulted us in our own server, and yet you exected us to be the ones to start being respectful. The world doesn't revolve around you, Malice. Our server is one based on mutual respect. We don't wait or want someone to bow down or compliment us before we start being nice to them. We treat all newcomers to our server evenly and show respect and welcome. That however ends when you start acting like a jerk. Your statements regarding maturity are rather ironic, considering you were the one trying to roleplay a pointlessly confrontational sith. Not that it matters, but I'll point out, what makes sense about a sith travelling on his own to a server full of jedi to harass them? If you expect any action or change on our side, you're free to roleplay and pretend it happened, but it won't. If you expect us to be more accepting and less suspicious of you if you ever visit our server again though, I suggest you apologize to the people you pointlessly harassed. ---Ivanova Link to comment

I simply commented on Ivanova's style of fighting. I said it was a bit "lazy" which I suppose could be taken as an insult, however at this point her and I seemed to be having a bit of witty banter about it, and she seemed ot be fine. Akuma began to make less-than-logical attacks back, and I said that his troll was fail. It was at THIS point that suddenly I had somehow crossed some imaginary bonudary, and THIS is the point where suddenly 3 JAWA members, including Ivanova, began to verbally berrate and argue with me, as I stated. You asked for a log, you got the remaining log. You are correct Link, it does "make everything very clear" -- very clear that JAWA members decided to overreact and start verbally ganging up on me. Apparently I'm just rude I guess, and don't realize I'm rude. That's fine, I'm an American, maybe I just don't understand what Europeans think of as "being rude" but I think that a lot of JAWA have been equally rude to me. (tl;dr version:) Regardless, I was slept, not shown the rule about the duel laming which I obviously wasn't aware of, because I was under the impression that laming did not apply to dueling virtually anywhere I've played (though apparently you can't kick-flip someone who starts a duel an inch from your nose at KR because that's "laming" as well). I've played this game off and on for 10 years. I have been gone for the majority of the last 6 years of it. Things have changed quite a bit from the highly popular communities I used to play with apparently. I recognize that {O}, {TO}, [JO] etc. were apparently not the norm. However, I was under the impression that (JAWA) styled itself off those first communities when it was founded. Perhaps I was incorrect. Thus, my main point here...a gentle nudge toward the rules and a friendly "you can't do that here" seems a far more logical reaction than jumping immediately into emergency admin response mode. Just saying. One last note, by "trimming the log" it can't be seen that I'd had a handful of duels up to this point on the other map, and I had commented just the same about other people's fighting styles. I was not being "rude" or "insulting" at all until the point where Akuma started attempting to troll me. Apparently it's ok for JAWA members to call guests trolls or tell them to stop trolling when a guest comes in and trolls, but a guest cannot refer to a JAWA member as a troll or say they are trolling. That's what sparked the whole hostility here, and I stand firm by my point that the unwarranted hostility that was being pushed on me by JAWA members influenced the admin actions taken against me. Again, I brought this whole incident up to simply be documented, not to make any sort of formal accusation or complaint. I have already taken my responsibility for "egging on" members. I apologize for having perhaps angered some people in doing so. I wanted to give both parties (myself and those present) the chance to clear the air. I am not looking for some sort of vindication here, nor some sort of hostility. I was looking for clarity to avoid such conflict again. It seems that certain things I said angered JAWA members in a way that I had not expected, and as I said, I believe that anger came out in the manner in which I was dealt with like a common lamer. I admit, I was extremely angry when I got slept and that's why I kept protesting...perhaps as I said it would have been better to defuse the situation by pointing me toward the rules...which seem to be a bit vague as: In other words, if someone is in chat for a long time then by all means attack the person but if they're chatting and replying to something you said then you did break the rules. IMO, I didn't break a rule. In Athena's opinion I did. Regardless, I am sorry for having offended various members. I'll just try to avoid JAWA since people have shown (even in this forum post) that they like to overreact to things. But if I do find my way there again, maybe I'll just try not to talk. The thing is, your first impressions coming into the server warranted the attention you received. First and foremost, you're a Guest on our server, and to just outright point out flaws in any persons saber style is asking for a discussion to open, which can potentially become volatile. Regarding our rules, as soon as you enter our server, you practically sign off that you agree to follow our rules, they're openly posted on our website, and are reminded to you several times throughout your game-play on our server. It's like walking into a restaurant, and you suddenly undress down to your underpants and don't expect to be reprimanded for it. Take responsibility for your actions and don't argue when your being reprimanded. No one is wishing you to stay off our server, but if that's the route you feel you need to take, then so be it. (JAWA) prides itself in being a family friendly clan, and if you come in our server, swinging insults, starting trouble and looking to pick a fight -- you're going to find yourself exiting alot sooner than you intended. Akuma's supposed "trolling" is in my log, Link. That was not trimmed. The only things I trimmed were background noise basically, and a few earlier duels before Malice got overly critical. I'll finish by saying that I wasn't angry or upset. I pride myself on keeping my cool and dealing with troublemakers efficiently. When it comes to adminning, I'm more cold and apathetic than anything else. Apparently this is often misinterpretted as anger, though continuing my apathetical trend, I'll simply say that your assumptions are not my problem. You won't be the first person to claim we're overly sensitive, nor will you be the first one to think we're hypocritical with our "hostility" because your over-inflated ego prevents you from seeing how offensive you can sound yourself. I'll say again though, that's not our problem. You can either play in our server respectfully and we'll be respectful in return, play disrespectfully and be banned, or you can stay away, which seems to be what you're opting towards. It was a 5 second FFA. I was trying to get them to come back and finish. Who does that? I'll finish by saying that I wasn't angry or upset. You effectively threaten me by saying I had better apologie to those I may have offended if I ever want to come back. I did so. You now are rude to me again, judging me poorly, telling me I have an 'over-inflated ego' that prevents me from seeing what I openly admited...that I may also come off as being "rude" and just don't see it.
