It's been a while... I am attempting to download JKA on my M1 Macbook Air. Any tutorials that you would recommend?

Wish I could help!  All I can say is that whatever the problem, there's almost always a work-around somewhere.  I think the Steam version has its own installer—that might work.  I have to use that due to my current OS—until 2017 I was running off the CD's.  But I use Redsaurus' JKJALaunch to start up JKA.  You might find yourself wanting that—I think you can get it on JKHub.  If you get stuck, I always had good luck Googling the problem if I tried long enough.
