EVENT New event announcement!

Hi everyone,

Rodiz and myself recently had the idea of creating a racing event which will take place every 2 weeks. This idea is a continuation/spin off of my racing event which happens every month or so: the (JAWA) SpaceKarts Race Cup. This bi-weekly event's name will be  “Rodel Race Day”!

This series of events will take place in 5 different maps. The (JAWA) Temple is excluded from the list, because it is exclusive to the Race Cup. Here are the maps we will be using for the event:

Here are the rules of the event:

 

-Both racers (or every racer, depending on the map) have to wait until the “go” (or the fences to go down, for Velocity racing facility) for the race to start.

 

-The number of laps will be determined depending on the map prior to the event start.

- If your speeder explodes or if you fall into a trap and die, you cannot restart the race and the opponent has to finish the lap in order to win the race (except from asteroid 77 where the swoops explode in 2 laps, you may ask for a second one if you survive to the explosion). If your opponent dies as well, a 1 lap race will determine the winner.

 

-Racers are not allowed to fight each other during races (i.e blaster/saber), but they are allowed to crash into each other.

 

-Spectators may get on the track to disturb the racers, just like tusken raiders. However, they need to stay where they are, thus, they are forbidden to chase racers. The use of the grappling hook is forbidden for both racers and spectators.

 

-Depending on the number of participants, there might be races where there are more than one opponent, and there also can be a double elimination bracket.

 

 

The dates of the first Rodel Race Day events are yet to be announced.
