LEAGUE JAWA League Results, 25 May 2025!

The (JAWA) League for May, 2025 was held Sunday afternoon on the (JAWA) Server, and was lightly attended, with ten members participating in the Duel Tournament, though others joined in the course of events.  Once again, we were treated to an exciting championship bout, several competitive rounds in the FFA events, a last-minute thriller in the Sniper competition, and three events featured first-time winners!  Congratulations to all of this month's winners, and thanks to Dragon, Grayfox, and Wolfy for helping to host the (JAWA) League!

 

 

Events and Winners:

The Duel Tournament:

 

Round 1 Results:

Wolfy defeated T`

Grayfox defeated Helena Revan

Thragg defeated Shadow

Sherwood defeated Sazen

Loki and Zsoltlustmaster received first-round byes.

 

Round 2 Results:

Loki defeated Wolfy

Thragg defeated Zsoltlustmaster

Grayfox and Sherwood advanced due to lack of opponents.

 

Semifinal Round:

Grayfox defeated Loki

Sherwood defeated Thragg

 

Final Match:

Grayfox defeated Sherwood to win this month's Duel Tournament, and earned the right to face Redshadow for the (JAWA) Championship!

 

 

The (JAWA) Championship:

In his first Championship match, Grayfox looked to make a statement against the veteran Redshadow, and pushed him to the limit, before falling short with 40 hit points left to the champion.  Pressing on, Grayfox looked to outlast his opponent in the second round, but again fell short, leaving Redshadow with the title and 36 hit points remaining!

First Round Results:

Shadow & Grayfox defeated Helena Revan & Sherwood

Wolfy & Sazen defeated Redshadow & Zsoltlustmaster

Sturg & Thragg received a first-round bye.

 

Second Round Results:

Shadow & Grayfox defeated Sturg & Thragg

Wolfy & Sazen advanced due to the lack of an opponent.

 

Final Match:

Shadow & Grayfox defeated Wolfy & Sazen to win this month's Tag-Team Tournament!

 

 

(JAWA) Darts:

Nine competitors took their turns on Board 3 this day, throwing from the platform that revolves around the board.  Despite the difficulty, the participants managed two bullseyes and a triple-200, the latter propelling Wolfy to the win, as he finished with a score of 770 points!  Aided by the first bullseye of the day, Redshadow finished second, at 470, while Dragon placed third at 440.

 

 

Watch Out for that Sniper!

Nine snipers ran, dodged, and weaved through a hail of disruptor fire, and this month's scores varied more widely than they have of late!  Redshadow started off with a time of seven seconds, edging out Helena Revan, who followed him with six.  The next several competitors were held to times of three seconds or less, before Shadow took the lead, lasting twelve seconds!  In the final attempt of the competition, RedBlueGreen evaded disintegration for a whopping twenty-eight seconds, more than doubling the nearest score, to win the event!  Shadow finished in second place, with Redshadow in third.

 

 

Merc War:

This month's Merc battle saw the various competitors looking to break the mold of past contests by seeking their targets more aggressively.  At first this strategy paid off, as Wolfy smashed Helena Revan with a plasma discharge, and Loki unexpectedly sabered Sturg.  When the rockets came out, Wolfy took out Loki, while Shadow eliminated Grayfox.  Wolfy fell out of the competition and into a lava pool, while Redshadow pursued Shadow, finally sabering him for the kill.  That left perennial favourites Redshadow and Dragon, who met once more on the small platform above the lava for a melee fight.  Unlike some past battles, this one ended fairly quickly, as Dragon dispatched his opponent with a powerful kick off the platform, to win the event!

 

 

TFFA:

The Red Team: Wolfy (C), Redshadow, Shadow, Loki, & Helena Revan

The Blue Team: RedBlueGreen (C), Grayfox, Dragon, Sturg, & Zsoltlustmaster

 

This month's TFFA was held on Vjun, where close quarters posed an additional challenge due to team hits and kills!  But the red team took the lead early on, and steadily expanded on it, winning by a final score of 100–73!

[Dragon]

injuries prevented me from going into duel and tag event, as i could not use my left pointer finger, making moving to the right pretty much painful

i did try a few times, but it just stung.. 

i figured heavens would be mostly me just circling and hoping to outlast enough people... no succes

darts and sniping went fine, merc i just had to try.. glad i won cause it hurt  

tffa i was just, meh
