About
|
The (JAWA) Championship was established during the clan's first incarnation in 2005. No record of the early champions survives, although it is believed that Battousai was one of them. With the revival of the clan in January 2006, it was decided to crown a new champion. HI won the duel tournament on the 21st January 2006 to become the presumptive favourite. After a great display of skill during a clan match on the 25th January 2006, it was decided that Drako would fight HI for the new championship. The match was held on the 28th January 2006.
The winner of the finals of the tournament has the chance to challenge The (JAWA) Champion. The champion is the person who won the last month's League. He/she doesn't fight in the regular dueling tournament, just the winner of the finals.
|
Rules
|
- Both the champion and the challenger must be engaged in a duel with 100/100 being the starting health/armour.
- The match is "best of 3" which means there will be either three duels or two, making the end result 2-0 or 2-1 to the champion or challenger.
- The (JAWA) Championship can be bypassed all together if the champion is not present after the Duel Tournament winner is decided. If this is the case, then a new (JAWA) Champion will be crowned by default based on whomever won the tournament beforehand.
- If a participant falls off the edge whilst both duellists remain untouched (100/100) then a rematch will take place for that particular duel in the match. If a participant has less than 100/100 then the duel cannot be restarted and the other player will win that duel as part of the match.
- A championship match cannot be rescheduled to fit the champion or challenger. It must take place directly after the tournament.
- The challenger must use the saber he/she chose to use in the Duel Tournament. In other words, a player must keep the same hilt up until the Single Heaven event.
