This command may be used if the server has been equipped with VSTR’s, or variable strings. These are codes which allow admins to change settings that would ordinarily require rcon. Different VSTR’s can be used for various purposes; for instance, enabling or disabling weapons or the Force, setting the kill limit or time limit for various events, or resetting the current map. Each VSTR has its own name. For instance, on the (JAWA) Server, /amvstr time0 removes the time limit on a map, while /amvstr60 sets the time limit to sixty minutes. Some commands, such as enabling or disabling weapons or the Force, require the map to be changed or restarted using /ammap or /amvstr restart (if available) before taking effect. Other commands, such as changing the time or scoring limits, do not. However, if the limit has already been reached when it is set, the map will change automatically.
