On the 22nd January 2017, Due to his passion and dedication to contribute to the clan, Jacobie was chosen to become the 15th Leader of (JAWA) alongside Nightwing & SiLink. He was promoted by Nightwing during a special ceremony on the server.

On the 8th February 2016, Jacobie received the rank of Padawan from Dace during a ceremony at the Academy.

| Background
|
|
Jacobie started playing in 2005 and hopped around many clans but always finding his way back to -=AFL=-, he then left the game in 2010 to focus on real life. Returning to the game in 2016, he found -=AFL=- to have disbanded months before coming back. He was convinced to apply for the (JAWA) clan and the rest is history.

Jacobie was inducted into the (JAWA) Hall of Fame by Doc on the 2nd January 2018 Here is what Doc and others said about Jacobie:
As my final act as leader, I have the privilege of honoring someone that has been faithful to this clan. Speaking well of Jacobie comes easy for me. He has been a friend, mentor and strong leader of this clan. When I joined (JAWA) last year, Jacobie was quick to become someone I considered a friend. He would periodically check in and was someone I could bounce things off when needed. Serving under him as leader and then as a peer was a great experience. But when things became difficult and uncertain with the clan, he took the reigns very quickly and proved himself to be someone that not only had what it took to lead, but to also be someone that represented stability to the membership. I know I can speak on behalf of the entire Council and membership when I say that Jacobie has done more than his share to earn a position of honor and fame in (JAWA). Congratulations again.

When I chose Jacobie to take on the role of leader, he agreed to do so in order to serve the clan to his full potential. At times I know Jacobie hasn't believed he has what it takes to be an effective leader, but so do all who take on this kind of role and from day one till he has listened, worked and fought to be the best leader he can be and I could not be more proud of the person he is and the leader he has become. Whether it was his hard work as a member, as an Event Planner, (JAWA) Knights Member or Server Admin, or his time on the Council and Leader. He also received a Contribution Award and Participation Awards for his work in the clan. People cannot deny that he has had a large impact on this clan and continues to do so. It has been an Honour to train, work and lead alongside Jacobie and I hope to do so for a long while yet. He has quickly become a good friend and I couldn't have lead this clan this last year without him. Thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to this clan and it's members.

Jaco, before the leadership merry-go-round of 2017/18, new leaders were scarce and so with your appointment there were always going to be a couple of questions especially from veterans or those that were too new to know you. But I know that I'm not alone in saying that you answered those questions (and more) in no time you started so well and kicked on through your tenure, not shying away from the big calls and I'm so glad that we get to carry on together from today well done!

Jacobie has been a leader now for around 8 months, during this time he has been working very hard to learn all the extra bits and pieces that come with the role. Not only has Jacobie had to learn and take on duties of a leader, he has also taken on a great deal of what Link used to manage for me and as I am unable to do this myself, he has really stepped up to the plate and taken on a huge responsibility. Over the past 8 months, I have seen great improvement and I couldn't be happier with the decision I made earlier this year, you have quickly become a great co-leader whom I can rely on implicity to take care of the clan and work with me to bring about more exciting ideas and make improvements when needed. You have also become a supportive friend in the short time we've known each other. Thank you for all that you have done for the clan past, present and future.
